A muddy good time for preschoolers THIS Friday

Fun Mud Day returns to Eastern

Willimantic, CT (05/02/2023) — The Child and Family Development Resource Center (CFDRC) at Eastern Connecticut State University will host its sixth annual Fun Mud Day on May 5, 9:30-11:30 a.m. The event features a muddy obstacle course for the CFDRC's preschool children to enjoy. The event will take place rain or shine at the CFDRC's outdoor playground.

Designed to challenge children (and daring adults) physically while making them dirty and wet, Fun Mud Day features obstacles that are not often encountered during a typical physical education class.

"Fun Mud Day is not a race, but an opportunity to work together as a team to make sure we all complete the course and have fun!" said education Professor Darren Robert, whose physical education students will help supervise the event.

Fun Mud Day obstacles include sprinklers, mud puddles, slip and slides, leaves, ice and other elements of nature. The event invites CFDRC parents, teachers and Eastern students to participate in the muddy fun along with the center's preschool children.
