Eastern Business Student Lynda Petrides Presents Research in Austin, TX

2018 Jan 16

Eastern Connecticut State University student Lynda Petrides '18 of Plainfield presented her research on the usefulness of learning management systems at the Education Special Interest Group (EDSIG) Conference on Information Systems and Computing Education. The conference took place from Nov. 5-8 in Austin, TX.

Her paper, titled "Mind the LMS Content Producer: Blackboard usability for improved productivity and user satisfaction," was co-presented with Petrides' mentor, history professor Kim Kunene.

"I started working on this research project with Dr. Kunene in January 2017," said Petrides, who majors in Business Information Systems. "We spent countless hours researching, reading, writing, documenting, testing and analyzing a very complex project. Being named as a co-author of a research paper and having that paper accepted for inclusion at the EDSIG Conference was easily the highlight of my senior year."
