Eastern Connecticut State University Student Alana Gallagher of Killingworth Participates in 14th Annual Arts and Sciences Research Conference

Eastern Connecticut State University held its 14th Annual Arts and Sciences Research Conference and Exhibition at the end of the spring semester. The event featured oral and visual presentations of student-led scientific research and artwork. More than 50 presentations were delivered by students from a range of academic departments.

Alana Gallagher '15 of Killingworth, CT, presented a research project at the event. Gallagher's major is Psychology and the faculty mentor was Peter Bachiochi and Kristalyn (Kristi) Salters-Pedneault. The project's title was "The Role of Handedness and Sex in Semantic Memory" (Bachiochi) and "Examining Heart Rate Variability as a Predictor of Impulsive Behavior." (Salters-Pedneault)
