Eastern Connecticut State University Student, Cooper Goslin, Named LEC Rookie-Of-The-Week For Men's Cross Country

Cooper Goslin, '18, from East Windsor Hill, majoring in Business Administration was named Little East Conference Rookie-Of-The-Week for the men's cross country.

In the fourth weekly cross country report, Goslin becomes the men's second weekly honoree this fall when he was named Rookie-of-the-Week, this honor is the first in Goslin's carrer.

Goslin continues to run among the leader for Eastern and as the Warriors' top freshman. At the CCRI Tri-State Invitational Saturday, he was eighth overall among 104 runners who finished the race, averaging a 5:44 mile over 8,000 meters. With senior individual winner Lee Cattanach (New London) and Goslin finishing among the top eight, Eastern placed second in a field of nine teams.

With Cattanach missing the first three races of the year, Goslin came across the line as Eastern's top finisher at Keene State College (21st overall in a field of 68), Trinity College (24th among 84) and the Eastern Invitational (7th among 36).

Cross country runs their sixth race of the season Oct. 18 at the Western New England University Invitational at 10:30 a.m.
