Eastern Connecticut State University Student Emily Lund of Moodus, Participates in Study Abroad Program

2013 Apr 2

A number of Eastern Connecticut State University students participated in the Study Abroad Program during the fall 2012 semester. Study Abroad allows students to gain cultural insight while living in a host country for a full semester or academic year. Students attend a university in their country, take classes, and earn Eastern credits.

Emily Lund '14 of Moodus, CT, studied at University of Limerick in Limerick, Ireland. Lund's major is Biology.

According to Lund, "Ireland in and of itself was an amazing experience for which I will forever be grateful. The people I met, the things I learned and the places I went were all so amazing and something I will always keep with me. I learned so much about myself throughout this whole experience, and I am so happy that I grabbed this opportunity while I could."

Study Abroad engages students in global awareness through international study. The program promotes worldwide education and opportunity to travel and experience a new culture. Study Abroad values diversity, education, and international cooperation.
