Eastern Connecticut State University Student Gina Murray of Bethel Inducted into Sociology Honor Society

Eighteen math majors and one faculty member at Eastern Connecticut State University were inducted into the national sociology honor society, Alpha Kappa Delta, on May 11. The society recognizes students who have an officially declared sociology major or demonstrate a serious interest in sociology, are at least a junior (third year), have accumulated an overall GPA of 3.0, rank in the top 35 percent of their class in general scholarship, have maintained a 3.0 GPA in sociology courses, and have completed at least four regular courses in sociology prior to initiation.

Gina Murray '11 of Bethel was one of the inductees.

Eastern Connecticut State University is part of the Connecticut State University (CSU) system and is the state's public liberal arts university. Eastern serves more than 5,600 students each year on its Willimantic campus.
