Eastern Connecticut State University Student Katherine Marois of New London Inducted into Economics Honor Society

2013 May 21

A number of Eastern Connecticut State University students were recently inducted into Eastern's Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society.

Katherine Marois '13 of New London, CT, was one of the inductees. Marois's major is Economics.

Students in the Economics program learn the impact of economic issues, society, and government affairs. The program emphasizes a cross-disciplinary perspective and the development of the analytical, communication, and quantitative skills graduates need to be effective after graduation. Depending on their career goals and interests, Economics majors take a combination of courses in economics and other disciplines as part of four applied areas: business economics; general economics; mathematical economics; and political economy.

Eastern Connecticut State University is the state's public liberal arts university and serves approximately 5,400 students each year on its Willimantic campus and satellite locations.
