Eastern Connecticut State University Student Mackenzie Fannon of Bristol Participates in 14th Annual Arts and Sciences Research Conference

Eastern Connecticut State University held its 14th Annual Arts and Sciences Research Conference and Exhibition at the end of the spring semester. The event featured oral and visual presentations of student-led scientific research and artwork. More than 50 presentations were delivered by students from a range of academic departments.

Mackenzie Fannon '15 of Bristol, CT, presented a research project at the event. Fannon's major is Environmental Earth Science and the faculty mentor was Dickson Cunningham. The project's title was "Geological Characteristics and Kinematic History of Super-Eruption Derived Ignimbrite Units along the Yellowstone Hot Spot Track, Part I: Brown’s Bench, Southern." Idaho" and "Rheomorphic Folds in Super-Hot Ignimbrites from the Southern Snake River Plain, Idaho."
