Eastern Connecticut State University Visual Arts Student Matthew Pappalardo of Mansfield Center Receives Award

The Visual Arts Department's annual Senior Art Exhibition is held every May in Eastern's Akus Gallery. This exhibition is exclusive to senior Visual Arts majors who have successfully completed a senior project in their concentration. Faculty supervisors curate the exhibition based on a student's successful demonstration of command of visual artistry within their chosen discipline.

The opening reception for this year's event, "Realize & Visualize," was held in conjunction with the department's annual Student Awards and Recognition gathering that was held on May 1 on the Akus Gallery patio. Friends, family and art afficionados were present to celebrate with the department and honor the students' achievements.

Matthew Pappalardo '15 of Mansfield Center was one of the awardees. Pappalardo received an Honorable Mention in Digital Art & Design award.
