Eastern Connecticut State University's Adrianna Mihalek Named LEC Offensive Player-of-the-Week

Adrianna Mihalek '17, of Woodbury majoring in Communication, named Little East Conference Offensive Player-of-the-Week in women's volleyball for the second time in the last four weeks.

Mihalek led Eastern during a 2-1 week by averaging 3.56 kills and attacking at .250 and serving at a .973 percentage with nine aces on 37 attempts. In a sweep of Plymouth State and WPI in the final home matches of the year, Mihalek averaged 4.00 kills with a .378 attack percentage and had a .944 serving percentage with three aces. In her last seven matches, Mihalek is averaging 4.83 points and 4.05 kills with a .277 attack percentage and .957 serve percentage on 70 attempts, with 13 service aces.

Women's volleyball (14-13, 4-2) visits Connecticut College Wednesday at 7 p.m. before closing out the regular season Saturday against Babson College (2 p.m.) and host Brandeis University (4 p.m.).
