Eastern Connecticut State University's Emily Becher Named LEC Rookie-of-the-Week

Emily Becher '18, of Brooklyn majoring in Political Science, is named Little East Conference Rookie-of-the-Week in women's soccer for the fourth time this year.

Becher scored both goals in a 2-0 Little East Conference victory at UMass Dartmouth Saturday which guaranteed the Warriors at least a first-round home match in the LEC playoffs. The multiple-goal game was the second straight (both in LEC competition) and fourth this year (three coming against LEC opponents) for Becher, who is second in the conference in points (25) and goals (12) and tied for first in game-winning goals (4).

A winner of five straight, women's soccer (10-5-1, 4-2-0 Little East) hosts Manhattanville College Wednesday at 6 p.m. before closing out the regular season Saturday with an LEC match at Plymouth State University at 1 p.m.
