2015 Oct 28

Emily Becher '18, of Brooklyn majoring in Political Science, was named Little East Conference Offensive Player-of-the-Week for the second time in four weeks for women's soccer.

Becher, named All-New England Region as a freshman, had two goals in a game for the ninth and tenth times in her career in a pair of wins that gave the Warriors five straight wins and victories in eight of their last nine. The Little East leader in goals (15) and points (33), Becher also added an assist Saturday in a 7-1 LEC win at Rhode Island College which equaled her career high of five points, also set against RIC last year. Becher has a goal in 11 games and a point in 13 for the 12-3-1 (6-0-0 LEC) Warriors, who clinched their sixth conference regular-season title in 16 years under head coach Chris D'Ambrosio Saturday. Becher now has 33 goals in 36 career matches, ranking her fourth all-time.

Eastern hosts the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Saturday at 1 p.m. in the LEC and season finale.
