Eastern Connecticut State University's Maggie Bodington Named Little East Conference Women's Lacrosse Rookie-of-the-Week

Maggie Bodington '18, of Stratford majoring in Physical Education, was named Little East Conference women's lacrosse Rookie-of-the-Week in the first weekly report.

A first-team All-LEC soccer defender in the fall, Bodington has contributed four goals and an assist and leads the team in draw controls (15) through four matches of the women's lacrosse season. Also sharing the team lead among position players with eight ground balls, Bodington scored the game-winner in overtime - her third goal of the match -- of a 9-8 win at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Bodington forced a turnover before scoring the game-winner, then won the ensuing draw to preserve the victory.
