Eastern Connecticut State University's Michele D'Agata Named Little East Conference Defensive Player-of-the-Week

Michele D'Agata '18, from West Suffield majoring in Sport & Leisure Management, was named Little East Conference Defensive Player-of-the-Week in women's soccer.

Sophomore defender Michele D'Agata played every minute in a pair of shutout wins, the Warriors allowing their opponents only nine total shots, of which only five reached net. This year, D'Agata is the only player on the team to have played all 562 minutes for the Warriors, the second-best defensive team in the Little East Conference.

Five Eastern Connecticut State University athletes were cited during the third weekly Little East Conference awards report of the season, through matches of Sept. 20. The five awardees give Eastern ten selections in five fall sports (men's soccer, women's soccer, field hockey, women's volleyball, and women's cross country) in the program's first three weeks. Eight different individuals have earned the award at least once this fall.
