Eastern Connecticut State University's Taylor McBride Named to New England Women's Basketball Association Senior Classic

Taylor McBride '15, of Willimantic majoring in Sport & Leisure Management, was named among 24 participants to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Senior Classic, which is scheduled Saturday, March 28 at 1 p.m. at Smith College.

McBride was named Defensive Player-of-the-Year in the conference this past year and averaged season-highs in assists (4.1) and rebounds (3.5) while averaging 3.8 points. She shared second place in the LEC in assists per game and was first in the conference with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1-1.7. In the LEC title game win over UMass Boston, McBride had seven points, seven assists, six rebounds and five assists. She concluded her career ranked sixth all-time at Eastern with 431 assists and a 4.0 average.
