Eastern Connecticut State University's Xavier Doran Named Little East Conference Offensive Player-of-the-Week

Xavier Doran '18, of Hebron majoring in History and Social Science, was named Little East Conference Offensive Player-of-the-Week in the sport of men's soccer.

In a 4-0 Little East Conference road win over the University of Southern Maine, Doran recorded his second hat trick in six games, giving him four goals and an assist for nine points in a pair of 4-0 road wins. Now ranked second in the LEC in points (25) and tie for third in goals (9), Doran maintained pressure throughout both matches, taking nearly one-third (11) of the team's 34 shots. Xavier scored the first goal in both contests, giving him his second and third game-winning goals of the season. Doran's penalty kick goal put the Warriors ahead for good just 3:40 into the match against Southern Maine, and his unassisted goal midway through the first half set up the non-conference win at Fitchburg State University. Ranked No. 6 in New England, Eastern is 12-2-1 overall and holds a one-point lead in the LEC standings with a 4-0-1 record. The Warriors host Rhode Island College in an LEC match Saturday at 1 p.m.
