Eastern Connecticut State University's Xavier Doran Named Little East Conference Offensive Player-of-the-Week

Xavier Doran '18, from Hebron majoring in History and Social Science, was named Little East Conference Offensive Player-of-the-Week for the second consecutive week in the sport of men's soccer.

Doran scored his third consecutive game-winning goal (fourth of the season ) with 1:43 left in sudden death overtime to lift the 13-2-1 Warriors to their fourth straight win in their only match, a 1-0 victory which kept perfect (7-0-0) at home this year and ended Rhode Island College's seven-game winning streak. Doran scored on a header for a goal which moved him into a share of third place in the conference with ten goals. He is also just two points off the points pace in the conference.

Doran has at least two points in five conference games this year for 19 points on eight goals and three assists. Twice in LEC play, he has scored three goals. For conference-leading Eastern, 5-0-1 in the conference, a win or a tie Saturday in the LEC regular-season finale or a tie or loss by the University of Massachusetts Boston give Eastern its fourth conference regular-season title in the last five years.
