Eastern Field Hockey Player Alexandra Kallgren of Dudley Selected for Senior All-Star Game

2017 Oct 23

What a season it has been for Eastern Connecticut State University forward Alexandra Kallgren '18. The three-time All-Little-East-Conference (LEC) forward from Dudley, MA, set program records for points and goals scored in a career, while also moving into second place all-time in assists. Kallgren's major is Sport & Leisure Management.

She now has an additional accolade to add to her list of accomplishments. Kallgren has been selected as the only representative from the LEC to play in the 2017 National Field Hockey Coaches' Association Senior All-Star Game, sponsored by Victory Sports Tours.

Kallgren is now only the second player over the last 21 years of the Eastern field hockey program to be selected to play in the game, joining E-Club Hall of Famer Mo Deegan '05. Earlier this season, Kallgren passed Deegan in the record books to become the all-time leader in points and goals scored. She is currently closing in on Deegan for the assist record as well.

Seventy-two players were selected to participate in the all-star game from all over the national D-III landscape. The game will take place at Bellarmine University on Nov. 18 at 5 p.m.
