Eastern Psychology Student Kaitlin Thibodeau of Tolland Awarded Departmental Honors

On April 25, 14 talented psychology students at Eastern Connecticut State University were awarded "departmental honors."

Among the awardees was Kaitlin Thibodeau '16 of Tolland. Thibodeau majors in Early Childhood Education and Psychology .

Eastern students who are awarded departmental honors in psychology must earn an A- or better in Behavioral Science Statistics and Research Methods I, attain a 3.5 GPA in psychology and an overall GPA of 3.5. Students must also complete an independent study, teaching assistantship or research assistantship in psychology, and present research at CSU Psychology Day.

"The stringent requirements to receive departmental honors are a testament to the exceptional work of many of our students," said Peter Bachiochi, professor of psychology.
