Eastern Soccer Player Alissa Beedle Named Offensive Player of the Week

Eastern Connecticut State University women's soccer player Alissa Beedle '19 of Bethany was named Little East Conference (LEC) Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 22. This is the first selection of her career. Beedle majors in Health Sciences.

The junior midfielder had the game of her career last Friday night when she scored five points against the University of Massachusetts Boston, including two goals and an assist. These were Beedle's first points recorded during her 38-game career as a starter. The Warrior's went on to defeat UMB 5-1, moving within one game of a third straight unbeaten regular season in the LEC.

The Little East Conference (LEC) was established in1986 as a single-sport league (basketball) by six public institutions located throughout New England. The LEC has since become a multi-sport league with eight primary members, six affiliate members and 19 championships. Varsity teams are fielded in baseball, softball, basketball, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, track and field, volleyball and swimming.
