Eastern Student Adam Murphy '17 of Meriden Inducted Into History Honor Society

A group of Eastern Connecticut State University students was recently inducted into Alpha Mu Alpha, Eastern's chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national honor society for the study of history.

Adam Murphy '17 of Meriden was one of the inductees. Murphy's major is Political Science and History and Social Science.

The society promotes the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. It is an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history and it has over 350,000 members, with about 9,500 new members joining each year through 860 local chapters.
