Eastern Student Adam Murphy Presents at Northeastern Political Science Association Meeting

2018 Jan 8

Four political science majors from Eastern Connecticut State University presented original research at the Northeastern Political Science Association meeting this past November in Philadelphia.

Among the students was Adam Murphy '18 of Meriden, who majors in Political Science and History and Social Science and gave a presentation titled "Trust in Government: Examining Levels of Trust Among College Aged Individuals."

. Murphy, who previously presented this research at Eastern's spring 2017 Celebrating Research Excellence & Artistic Talent conference, said, "I really enjoyed my experience attending and presenting at the conference because I was able to meet interesting scholars while receiving valuable feedback to improve my research paper. This conference has reaffirmed my motivation to continue pursuing research questions into graduate school."

The meeting afforded undergraduate students an opportunity to present their own independent research in front of a professional crowd. The students were mentored through the process by Eastern Political Science Professor Nicole Krassas.
