Eastern Student Anthony Piccione of Windsor Presents at Phoenix New Play Series

The annual Phoenix New Play Series at Eastern Connecticut State University presented readings of new short works on Saturday, Oct. 25 in the Student Center Theatre. The playwright of "How Having a Vampire Boyfriend Would REALLY Go," Anthony Piccione '16 of Windsor, CT, is majoring in Theatre with concentrations in theater history, theory and criticism.

At Eastern he has acted in "The Island," performed at the Harry Hope Theatre. Prior to attending Eastern, Piccione performed regularly with his high school's drama club and numerous community and regional theaters, appearing in shows such as "Urinetown," "Beauty and the Beast," "Kiss Me Kate," "Annie," "Romeo and Juliet" and "The Wiz." During high school, Piccione studied acting and worked as an intern at Hartford Children's Theatre. He was named the 2011 recipient of the Heather and Richard Stanton Award.
