Eastern Student-Athlete Alexander Fazzino of Bolton Named to 2017-18 Soccer Team

The Warriors at Eastern Connecticut State University named 25 students to the 2017-18 men's soccer team.

Among the athletes is Alexander Fazzino '18 of Bolton. Fazzino's major is Environmental Earth Science and his position on the team is backfield.

"My overall goal for this season is to leave the program better than it was when I started," said Fazzino. "As my senior year, this season is especially significant for me and I couldn't ask for a better group of guys to accomplish this with. Everyone is highly motivated and I'm excited to see how this season unfolds."

"Alex is an outstanding attacking player that we are converting to a back field player," said Head Coach Greg Devito. " Alex is a solid defender and will also add to our attack."

Currently the men's soccer team has an overall record of four wins and four losses, with their next contest happening on Sept. 26 against the Salem State Vikings.

By placing its highest priority on the overall quality of the liberal arts educational experience, Eastern's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Intramurals and Recreation seeks to integrate its programs and goals with academic and developmental objectives, and to assure the assimilation of student athletes into the general student body.
