Eastern Student-Athlete Alexandra Kallgren Named to LEC All-Conference Team

2017 Nov 9

Three student-athletes from Eastern Connecticut State University were named to Little East Conference (LEC) all-conference teams due to their strong performances in the fall 2017 season.

Among them is Alexandra Kallgren '18 of Dudley, who majors in Sport & Leisure Management.

Kallgren, captain of the field hockey team, was named to the All-LEC team for the fourth consecutive year. The senior forward had a career year, becoming the program's all-time leader in goals, points and game-winning goals. She becomes only the third Eastern player ever to be a four-time selection, following Laura Chicorka (2012-15) and E-Club Hall of Famer Mo Deegan (2001-04)

The Little East Conference (LEC) was established in 1986 as a single-sport league by six public institutions throughout New England. The LEC has since become a multi-sport league with eight primary members, six affiliate members and 19 championships.
