Eastern Student-Athlete Haley Knox of Bristol Named to 2017-18 Women's Cross Country Team

The Warriors at Eastern Connecticut State University recently named 13 students to the 2017-18 women's cross country team.

Among the athletes is Haley Knox '19 of Bristol, who majors in Mathematics.

"I have been looking forward to this season all summer," said Knox. "We have a very strong team this year, so we'll be a strong contender for the Little East Conference. I'm hoping to have my best cross country season yet with some personal bests!"

Some of the goals and objectives of the team include becoming LEC seasonal and tournament champions, being undefeated at home and earning a team-average GPA of 3.3.

By placing its highest priority on the overall quality of the liberal arts educational experience, Eastern's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Intramurals and Recreation seeks to integrate its programs and goals with academic and developmental objectives and to assure the assimilation of student-athletes into the general student body.
