Eastern Student-Athlete Stephanie Hogan of Northford Named to 2017-18 Women's Field Hockey Team

The Warriors at Eastern Connecticut State University recently named 15 students to the 2017-18 women's field hockey team.

Among the athletes is Stephanie Hogan '19 of Northford. Hogan majors in Mathematics and her position on the team is midfield.

"There is a lot of talent on the team despite our small numbers so I expect that we will place well in the Little East Conference and hope to make it to the championship game," said Hogan.

"The Eastern Connecticut State University Field Hockey program is looking forward to a successful year on and off the field," said Head Coach Christine Hutchinson. "We have a smaller team but every athlete is ready to compete and has prepared well over the summer and preseason. We will be very competitive and looking to take the Little East Conference by surprise once again."

By placing its highest priority on the overall quality of the liberal arts educational experience, Eastern's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Intramurals and Recreation seeks to integrate its programs and goals with academic and developmental objectives, and to assure the assimilation of student-athletes into the general student body.
