Eastern Student Brandan Sumeersarnauth of Stafford Springs Recognized at Environmental Earth Science Awards

A number of Eastern students were recently honored at the Environmental Earth Science Department's annual awards ceremony. Awards were bestowed on students who excelled in research or academic excellence.

Brandan Sumeersarnauth '16 of Stafford Springs, CT, earned the Junior award.

According to Department of Environmental Earth Science Chair Peter Drzewiecki, "The students who received awards from the EES department were all very deserving. They represent those students that understand the value of the education they are receiving, and pursue as many opportunities as possible to further their education while at Eastern. We anticipate that they will continue to represent our department well in the future, both in the careers they chose and in the success they find in them. They should all be congratulated!"
