Eastern Student Brittany Chabot Recognized at Honors Program Reception

Eleven graduating seniors from Eastern Connecticut State University were recognized at the Honors Program Reception at the conclusion of the 2016-17 academic year. The competitive Honors Program contains some of the university's highest-achieving students, who must undergo a rigorous academic schedule and maintain a high GPA in order to remain in the benefit-rich program.

Recognized was Brittany Chabot '17 of Dayville who majors in Psychology.

The reception's keynote speaker was Robert Zarnetske '87, an alumnus of the Honors Program. The event concluded with a presentation of the Honors Cords, which were worn at commencement on May 17 at the XL Center in Hartford.

Founded in 1973 and recognized regionally and nationally, the Honors Program at Eastern is among the most active in New England. It offers full in-state tuition scholarships to freshmen entering the program.
