Eastern Student Christina Welch of Farmington Receives Biology Award

Eastern Connecticut State University's Biology Department recently bestowed awards upon students who achieved excellence in academic excellence, research and as teaching assistants.

Christina Welch '18 of Farmington, CT, was one of the awardees. Welch's major is Pre-Secondary Educ Certifictn. Welch received an award for Academic Excellence.

According to Biology Professor and Chair Gloria J. Coluso, "Honors and award programs provide a meaningful opportunity to publicly recognize and celebrate student achievements in scholarship, research and service. They demonstrate that success is possible and motivate all of us to keep moving forward."
