Eastern Student Diane Smith-Sanders Inducted Into Psi Chi Psychology Honor Society

A number of Eastern Connecticut State University students were recently inducted into Eastern's Psi Chi Psychology Honor Society.

Diane Smith-Sanders '13 of Plainfield, CT, was one of the inductees. Smith-Sanders's major is Psychology.

The Department of Psychology develops students' understanding of the diversity of human behavior and of the variables which influence it. The society encourages the stimulation and maintenance of excellence in scholarship and advancement of the science of psychology. Qualifications for inductees include declaring a major or minor in psychology; at least 12 credits of coursework in psychology or sophomore class standing; a 3.5 GPA in psychology; and a 3.0 GPA overall.

Eastern Connecticut State University is the state's public liberal arts university and serves approximately 5,400 students each year on its Willimantic campus and satellite locations.
