Eastern Student Ethan McCain of Vernon Recognized at Visual Arts Awards

Visual arts seniors at Eastern Connecticut State University were recognized at the department's annual award ceremony on May 6. The ceremony kicked off the annual senior exhibition, this year titled "Outside the Lines," which runs from May 6 to May 17 in the Art Gallery of Eastern's new Fine Arts Instructional Center (FAIC).

Ethan McCain '16 of Vernon, who majors in Visual Arts and Elementary Education, won an Excellence in Printmaking award.

This was the first visual arts awards ceremony and senior exhibition held in the university's new FAIC. Faculty, peers and family came to the exhibition and viewed the students' work within the stunning Art Gallery. Faculty commented that much like their artwork, the students themselves are "Outside the Lines."
