Eastern Student Jonathan Rappi of Southington Inducted into Biology National Honor Society

Select Eastern Connecticut State University students were inducted into the Eta Omega chapter of the Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society on April 27. The event recognizes students who major in biology and who have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, research and other academic pursuits.

Jonathan Rappi '18 of Southington, who majors in Biology, was one of the inductees.

Biology Professor Elizabeth Cowles said, "The ceremony is an opportunity for us to celebrate our students' academic successes and to honor those who work inside and outside our department. We warmly welcome our new members into the Eta Omega chapter of Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society."

The Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society was founded in 1922 and today has more than 175,000 lifetime members in more than 430 chapters throughout the United States. The Eta Omega Chapter at Eastern was founded in 1997.
