Eastern Student Kaitlyn Doucette Presents Research at Psychological Science Night
2015 Dec 15
Twenty-nine exemplary psychology students from Eastern Connecticut State University presented their research on Dec. 11 at the department's annual Psychological Science Night.
Among the students was Kaitlyn Doucette '18, who majors in Psychology. Mentored by Psychology Professor Madeleine Fugere, Doucette's poster presentation was titled "Similarities and Differences in Mate Preferences among Parents and their Adult Children."
"Research takes classroom experience and applies it to tangible, practical work," said Psychology Professor Carlos Escoto, faculty mentor to many student researchers. "The presentation of the research is also important," he added, speaking to the communication and organization skills needed for an effective presentation.
