Eastern Student Kelly Labanara of Chaplin Wins Award at Accounting Banquet

Eastern Connecticut State University's 20th Annual Accounting Banquet took place at the end of the spring semester. The event hosted nearly 200 students, alumni, emeriti professors and current faculty for an evening of reflection and recognition of Eastern accounting students and their achievements.

Kelly Labanara '15 of Chaplin, CT, earned the Founders of Accounting Award. Labanara's major is Accounting.

Eastern President Elsa Nunez said, "While our students typically outperform all other accounting students in the state on the annual Connecticut CPA exam, here at Eastern we don't produce 'accountants'; we produce liberally educated people who happen to be accountants. Beyond your talents and skills, the foundation of your career is your character."
