Eastern Student Margaret Sayers of Windsor Locks Inducted Into Health and Physical Education Honor Society

Eastern Connecticut State University's Department of Health and Physical Education held its annual honor society induction at the end of the spring semester. This year, a number of students were inducted into Alpha Upsilon Chi, the honor society that recognizes academic excellence and professional involvement in the disciplines of health, physical education, recreation, sport and dance.

Among the inductees was Margaret Sayers '16 of Windsor Locks, CT. Sayers's major is Physical Education.

Christina Turner, chair of the physical education department and director of recreation in the Division of Physical Education, Recreation, and Athletics at Colgate University, was the keynote speaker during the Alpha Upsilon Chi induction ceremony. A 2009 graduate of Eastern, Turner encouraged the students present to, "Stop trying to figure it all out. Take a deep breath and go with the flow. Learn by doing."
