Eastern Student Nicholas Khan of Willimantic Recognized at Visual Arts Awards

Visual arts seniors at Eastern Connecticut State University were recognized at the department's annual award ceremony on May 6. The ceremony kicked off the annual senior exhibition, this year titled "Outside the Lines," which runs from May 6 to May 17 in the Art Gallery of Eastern's new Fine Arts Instructional Center (FAIC).

Nicholas Khan '16 of Willimantic, who majors in Visual Arts, won awards for Excellence in Art History and Excellence in Painting and Drawing.

This was the first visual arts awards ceremony and senior exhibition held in the university's new FAIC. Faculty, peers and family came to the exhibition and viewed the students' work within the stunning Art Gallery. Faculty commented that much like their artwork, the students themselves are "Outside the Lines."
