Eastern Student Rachel Mackewicz of Lebanon Recognized at Environmental Earth Science Awards

A number of Eastern students were recently honored at the Environmental Earth Science Department's annual awards ceremony. Awards were bestowed upon students who excelled in research or academic excellence.

Rachel Mackewicz '16 of Lebanon, CT, won the Outstanding Environmental Earth Scientist Award.

According to Department of Environmental Earth Science Chair Peter Drzewiecki, "The Environmental Earth Science Department's year-end celebration allows students, faculty and alumni to get together and recognize student and departmental accomplishments throughout the year, as well as enjoy some time together before plunging into final projects and examinations. This year, Eastern EES alum Lindsey Belliveau spoke to the students about her experiences as a student major in our department and regarding her current experience in graduate school."
