Eastern Student Sabreena Croteau of North Kingstown Attends National Conference on Undergraduate Research in North Carolina

Ten Eastern Connecticut State University students presented at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) in Asheville, NC, from April 7-9.The conference was established in 1987 and is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity in all field of study.

Sabreena Croteau '16 of North Kingstown was one of the attendees. Croteau majors in Political Science and History. Croteau's research project was titled "Influence and Interference: U.S. Foreign Policy towards Saudi Arabia 1956-1971." "My problem had more to do with the sheer amount of sources I had to look through and read to extract the most important informartion and piece together an argument," said Croteau.

Professor Carlos Escoto, undergraduate research and creative activity coordinator at Eastern, chaperoned students on the NCUR trip. "The students got a lot out of the conference," he said. "The students' presentations were great and they all sat in on each other's. The trip had a great sense of comradery."
