Eastern Student Seth McCullock of Andover Attends National Conference on Undergraduate Research in North Carolina

Ten Eastern Connecticut State University students presented at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) in Asheville, NC, from April 7-9.The conference was established in 1987 and is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity in all field of study.

Seth McCullock '16 of Andover was one of the attendees. McCullock majors in English and Communication. McCullock's research project was titled "Technology on Communicative Ability." "I am very happy to have been invited to the conference and I consider myself very fortunate," said McCullock. "Looking forward, I am going to be attending graduate school in the fall in a program that is related to my study and I believe that the conference will help me get into a mindset of what it will be like to be a graduate student."

Professor Carlos Escoto, undergraduate research and creative activity coordinator at Eastern, chaperoned students on the NCUR trip. "The students got a lot out of the conference," he said. "The students' presentations were great and they all sat in on each other's. The trip had a great sense of comradery."
