Eastern Student Shea Ogle of Woodstock Inducted into Eastern's Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta

Shea Ogle '15 of Woodstock was was one of the students that was recently inducted into Eastern's chapter of the English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta.

Inductees were nominated by faculty members who specifically considered students whose intellectual ability, coursework and character were deemed worthy of this special distinction.

Inductees to the chapter are students who have set themselves apart as exceptional English majors. They were welcomed by co-presidents Mae Ehrnfelt and Ashley Westman. Chapter sponsor Barbara Liu welcomed the members into the group when she presented them with their certificates.

Sigma Tau Delta, an international English honor society that was founded in 1924, prides itself on having members who exhibit academic excellence, an appreciation for English and who foster and promote learning in the community. The society has 870 active chapters, including Eastern's own Alpha Delta Epsilon chapter.
