Eastern Visual Arts Student Matthew Pappalardo of Mansfield Center Participates in Logo Design Contest for Research Conference

A group of Eastern Connecticut State University Visual Arts students recently participated in a logo design contest for the upcoming student research conference, Celebrating Research Excellence and Artistic Talent at Eastern (CREATE). Each student designed their own logo and submitted it for consideration.

Matthew Pappalardo '15 of Mansfield Center was one was one of the members of Visual Arts Professor June Bisantz's Eastern Design Group class to submit a logo design for the contest.

The conference will highlight the scholarly work of students from across all disciplines. CREATE will take place over two days starting on April 17 at 2:30 p.m. and conclude on Saturday, April 18 at 1 p.m. Student work will be featured in posters, oral presentations, group panels, art, photography exhibits and performances.

Joann Vandale's design was selected as the winning logo for the research conference.
