Eastern Volleyball Player Abigail Stern Receives Fourth Rookie-of-the-Week Award

Eastern Connecticut State University volleyball player Abigail Stern '21 of Manchester received the Little East Conference (LEC) Rookie-of-the-Week Award for the week of Oct. 15. This is her fourth selection this year, and her second in the last three weeks.

At this point there are few words left to describe the year Stern is having. Stern has been a vital cog in the Warrior's rotation all season, and is among the top two in almost every statistical category on the team. This last week, over nine consecutive sets, Stern managed 27 kills, a .304 attack percentage, four service aces, 44 receptions against only one error, averaged 4.33 digs and even collected two blocks. The Warriors won all three games over the stretch. Through 21 matches the Warriors are 15-6.
