Eastern Women's Swim Team, Including Autumn Sutton of Lebanon, Ends Season with Impressive NEISDA Championship Performances

2018 Mar 5

The Eastern Connecticut State University women's swim team posted one of its most impressive overall seasons of the last decade in 2017-18. Thanks to a strong foundation of young talent, as well as a core of consistent veterans, the team recorded 625.5 points, the most by a Warrior's team since 2014. At the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships, six Eastern swimmers combined for 23 awards, the most since 2014. The team finished fifth place overall for seventh time in the last nine years.

Among the students who swam for this year's team was Autumn Sutton '19 of Lebanon, who majors in Pre-Secondary Education Certification and Mathematics.

The Little East Conference (LEC) was established in 1986 as a single-sport league by six public institutions throughout New England. The LEC has since become a multi-sport league with eight primary members, six affiliate members and 19 championships.
