Eastern's Alexandra Kallgren '18 of Dudley Becomes Women's Field Hockey All-Time Points Leader

2017 Sep 27

On Sept. 23, Eastern Connecticut State University women's field hockey player Alexandra Kallgren '18 of Dudley became the program's all-time leader in career points, with a late first-half goal against Framingham State University.

The senior forward had been chasing E-Club Hall of Famer Mo Deegan for the 13-year-old record. On Sept. 2, Kallgren passed Deegan during a game against Springfield College to become the program's all-time leader in goals scored. She also came within six points of the points record.

Coming into her most recent match against Framingham State University, Kallgren was only three points away from passing Deegan. A pair of first-half assists tied Kallgren with Deegan, and at the 31:15 mark, Kallgren sent a goal into the back of the net to make her Eastern's all-time women's field hockey points leader. The Warriors went on to win the game 6-0.
