Eastern's Kassandrah Banks of Wethersfield Receives Runner-of-the-Week Award

Eastern Connecticut State University women's cross country co-captain Kassandrah Banks '18 of Wethersfield was named the Little East Conference (LEC) Runner-of-the-Week for the week of Sept. 17.

She was able to improve her time by 24 seconds and her place by 39 spots from a year ago, finishing 34th out of 299 runners at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Invitational. Banks averaged a 6:17 mile, which clocks in at seven seconds faster than the year before. She also posted a personal record of 19:29 to finish second out of 37 LEC competitors.

Eastern's Warriors finished 16th out of 40 teams on the day.
