Eastern's Michelle Valliere of Lebanon Selected to Participate in NEWVA Senior Classic

Eastern Connecticut State University student Michelle Valliere '18 of Lebanon was selected to participate in the New England Women's Volleyball Association Division III Senior Classic. Thirty-four individuals from 24 schools were selected to participate in this year's game, which was held on Dec. 3 at the Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gym at Emerson College.

Valliere, the 2017 senior co-captain, becomes the 27th student from Eastern selected to participate in the event. During the 2017 season, Valliere appeared in all of the Warriors 27 matches, led the team in digs (425) and was second in receptions (386) and service aces (28). She was joined at the event by seven other players from the Little East Conference. Valliere majors in Health Sciences.

The Little East Conference (LEC) was established in 1986 as a single-sport league by six public institutions throughout New England. The LEC has since become a multi-sport league with eight primary members, six affiliate members and 19 championships.
