Lacrosse Player Taylor Pendergast Makes IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

2017 Aug 2

A total of five players from the Little East Conference (LEC) earned spots on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Academic Honor Roll in 2017. Four of the honorees came from undefeated LEC regular-season champion Eastern Connecticut State University.

Among them is Taylor Pendergast '17 of South Windsor, who majors in Psychology and is a defender on the lacrosse team.

Qualifiers need to reach junior eligibility with cumulative 3.50+ GPAs through this past spring. A total of 531 student-athletes representing 156 schools comprised the Division III academic team. Eastern's four qualifiers are Taylor Pendergast (South Windsor), Paige Schneider (East Lyme), Taylor Behn (Amherst, NH) and Allison Nadeau (Tolland).

The Eastern quartet helped the department capture the LEC Presidents' Cup for academic supremacy for the third straight year in 2016/17 and the Warriors' perfect LEC record and regular-season title played a large role in the Warriors winning their first LEC Commissioner's Cup as the most successful athletic program in the conference.
