Mackenzie MacLeod Receives All-Academic Team Honors

Mackenzie MacLeod '13 of Northfield was one of 32 Eastern Connecticut State University athletes honored as members of the Little East Conference All-Academic Team. MacLeod, majoring in Physical Education, obtained this award by achieving a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

All six fall sports at Eastern were represented in the list of honorees. Eastern ranks second among the eight conference institutions with a total of 335 all-academic selections since the program's inception in the fall of 2007.

The accolades do not stop there for Connecticut's only public liberal arts university, as last year Eastern featured 89 academic honor roll achievers, which gave it the most in the conference. Furthermore, in 2009-10 Eastern won the inaugural President's Cup for having the highest cumulative GPA of all the conference schools.
