Soccer Player Krista Petersen Named to LEC All-Conference Team

Because of stellar fall 2017 seasons, nine student-athletes from the men's and women's soccer teams at Eastern Connecticut State University were named to all-conference teams for the Little East Conference (LEC). A total of 48 players across the eight-team conference were selected to first and second all-conference teams.

Among them is Krista Petersen '18 of Wallingford, who majors in Spanish. Petersen was named first team All-LEC for the first time in her career. Petersen was a stalwart of the Warriors defensive unit, as the team gave up a conference-low 23 shots on goal for the season. She was named LEC Defensive Player of the Week twice this season

The Little East Conference (LEC) was established in 1986 as a single-sport league by six public institutions throughout New England. The LEC has since become a multi-sport league with eight primary members, six affiliate members and 19 championship.
